1. We live on PB&J (Prayer, Bible, Jesus).
Mile High Church is a place for people on every part of the spiritual journey. We realize that everyone has a unique story as well as a place in God’s master story. The Bible presents a message of life change but is filled with hope and daily instruction and when coupled with the power of prayer, Jesus fills our life with power and confidence to walk through anything that life brings us. (2 Timothy 3:16, Phil 4:16, Phil. 2:10)
2. We can do more by doing less-Focus.
We realize we can’t do everything—but what we as a community are called by God to do, we do with excellence. Our focus is fulfilling the Great Commission and the Great Commandment to love. (Matthew 22:37-38, Matthew 28:19-20)
3. We keep it real even though life is messy.
We believe we can’t be what God has called us to be if we play games with each other. Whether it’s what happens on stage, within our smaller communities, in serving teams or in our homes, we need to be able to share our faults, struggles and weaknesses while being real with one another. (I John 1:8-9)
4. We are a team, we will not work alone.
God created you with gifts and skills that you can use to change lives in your community and the world. Because of this, we will be generous with our time, talent, and money. (I Peter 4:10-11)
5. We will be known for what we are for.
Sometimes the church gets a bad reputation because they can be so negative. We do believe that God calls certain things sin and we need to call that out in the world, but we want to be known for having grace, not having a critical spirit. (John 13:35)
6. We will make Jesus visible by serving our community.
We understand that God’s calling on our church is to go beyond just serving inside the walls of our church. We are constantly looking for opportunities to honor God and shine his light by serving others. (Matthew 5:14)
7. We will build real relationships as we go deep in our faith and wide in our reach.
We will go deep in God’s amazing truth, but will also go wide in connecting people with Jesus. It’s not either/or, it is both. We do this through real relationships and building a community of support that reaches far beyond the church doors. (Matthew 28:19)
8. We have big faith, pray big prayers, and expect big results.
We never want to insult God by thinking small and never taking faith-filled, prayer covered risk. (Hebrews 11:6)
9. We will grow as we multiply leaders and disciples.
We want to send God’s message out into the world by reproducing everything from the weekend program to community group leaders. MileHigh Church wants to be a place where Christ-followers reproduce Christ-followers, leaders reproduce leaders, and churches reproduce other churches. (Matthew 28:19)
10. We will lead the way in generosity.
We desire to be known in our community, both locally and globally, for what we give away. (Deuteronomy 15:10)
11. We don’t do church lite.
We preach the whole Gospel that will set you free and bring you into a personal relationship with the living God. (Romans 10:9-10)
