Dear Church,
Do you want to read, understand, and love Scripture? I’d love for you to join along as Mile High Church has an opportunity to read the Bible together in 2024. This one-year chronological reading plan corresponds to The Bible Recap podcast. In the podcast, video, or book form, Tara-Leigh Cobble highlights and summarizes each day’s Bible reading in a casual, easy-to-understand way. The Bible Recap will not only help you read scripture but help you love reading it!
In short: Read the Bible passage for the day, then listen or watch the 7-10 minute podcast called The Bible Recap. That's it. It's very simple and about a 30-minute commitment each day.
We will be starting on January 1st, 2024, and here is how to get started:
Step One:
For digital users
● Subscribe to The Bible Recap podcast on one of the following platforms...
iTunes | Spotify | Stitcher | Podbean | Google | Google Play | YouTube
● If you’re using a digital Bible: Get the YouVersion app. Sign up for Whole Bible (1 Year) The YouVersion Plan is called The Bible Recap
● If you’re using a physical Bible: Print the plan: Whole Bible (1 Year)
● Pastor Barry and Stacey use a physical Bible but follow along/listen with YouVersion
For print users:
● Purchase a copy of The Bible Recap Book or…
● Print the plan: Whole Bible (1 Year). (optional as we will print some so they are available at church)
Step Two:
Listen or watch the Preparation Episodes to set you up for success.
They’ll answer most/all of your questions — even the ones you didn’t know you had! Start this by December 26th.

Then, each day, read the Bible chapters and then immediatly listen/watch The Bible Recap podcast
5 PRAYERS TO PRAY BEFORE READING THE BIBLE
Before you read God’s Word today, seek His help with these 5 prayers:
1. God, give me wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.
2. God, let any knowledge I gain serve to help me love You and others more, and not puff me up.
3. God, help me see something new about You I've never seen before.
4. God, correct any lies I believe about You or anything I misunderstand.
5. God, direct my steps according to Your Word.
